The Rangayan Auditorium of Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur. was drenched in 'Kathak Ras Varsha' on Thursday evening. Where about 80 students of 'Nrityashram' gave presentations of classical Kathak dance, classical singing and tabla playing. The occasion was 'Kathak Ras Varsha' by Laxmi Narayan Nrityashram.
The program was started by Kathak dancer and dance guru Namita Jain with 'Ganraj Nachai The' (Ganesh Vandana), followed by 'Nritya Pallav', Nritya Bahar' and 'Nritya Malhar' by the girl students. On the other hand, guest artist Sanskriti Vashishtha made the audience aware of the specialties of Jaipur Gharana's Kathak dance by presenting 'Krishna Mahima' and 'Tarana', Saraswati Vandana Trivat etc.
The institution has been training students in Kathak dance of Jaipur Gharana for the last several years. Ramesh Mewal on vocals, Aditya Singh on Tabla, Amiruddin Khan on Sarangi and Pt. Harihar Sharan on Sitar enthralled the audience with their amazing accompaniment.
