SHE DON’T USE MOBILE PHONE ! ! !

SHE DON’T USE MOBILE PHONE ! ! !
A friend from Australia Lynette Petty was in the town recently. She was on the tour of India, she went to many places, done many adventures and guess what SHE DON’T USE MOBILE PHONE and she had done all that without a mobile!!!!

No matter how good a person she is and at this age also she was carrying heavier camera bag then mine and roaming around the country, but not using a mobile is something serious. On our chit - chat she told me about how the other hotel guest spend their time with their phone instead of exploring the city or swimming or doing any other activity like what she was doing. I think that she has a strange disorder might be its contagious and could be lethal also. Before she spreads this to anyone else we all should request “Apple” or “Google” to gift her one Mobile Phone and ask Australian Government to make sure that she also gets addicted to Mobile.

Moscow Musical Theater 'Reverse'.

Moscow Musical Theater 'Reverse'.

Even the word Brilliant is not Justifying the Stunning performance of Moscow Musical Theater 'Reverse' which I saw today Evening at Maharana Pratap Auditorium, Jaipur.

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Department of State Support of the Art and Folk Creativity of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation signed a Protocol to organize the Cultural Days / Festivals in each other’s country.

In accordance with this Protocol, IRCC had hosted the visit of Moscow Music Theatre “Reverse” under the “Days of Russian Culture in India” today at Jaipur.

The unusual experimental production has been created by young Russian directors Andrey Koltsov and Irina Drozhzhina, with the participation of Debra Brown, famous Canadian choreographer and the Emmy Award winner. The audience was treated with a vibrant and dynamic theatrical performance with tricks, flying pylons and elements of circus choreography. This show blurred the boundaries between the dramatic and plastic theater and thrilled the viewers to core.

The experimental performance “Reverse” by the Moscow Music Theater is about the external and internal struggle of a human. It tells about its lowest and most beautiful manifestations, which appear only in extreme situations. It tells about conflicting qualities of human nature. It tells about the desire to transform and return to his former self. And, eventually, it tells about the main choice that every person has to make at least once in a lifetime.

Below are few glimpses from the iconic performance.

Diwali ki Safai.

Diwali ki Safai.

A mobile shot taken today while I was enjoying our annual “Diwali Safai Festival”.

Basically “Diwali or Deepawali ki Safai” is an annual Hindu festival which is celebrated every year few days before the Deepawali.

In this festival basically all the Hindus have to complete two tasks.
First - thoroughly clean their homes and work places.
Second - have to discard all the unwanted and useless things.

I should say one more thing here that Diwali ki Safai is basically a Hindu Festival but in my lifetime I had seen Muslim and other religion families also celebrating this festival with same enthusiasm. This religion hatred and tension is the gift of Politicians for their own benefits. Otherwise we Indians are very happy go lucky people, who don’t care about which religion has to celebrate which festival, as long as it is a festival most of us celebrate anything and everything.

But being a Indian Hindu from last 39 years and celebrating this Diwali ki Safai Festival every year, I had never - ever came across a single family or a person who had completed the second task successfully. Every year in my own home we come across many unwanted and useless things which we know we had not used from years and most probably are not going to use in future also but . . .  We don’t discard it every year those things might change the place but we don’t discard them. . . “Jane Kab Jarurat Pad Jaye” (don’t know when we would need them).

For example - below you will see a picture of a Dirty Skateboard which is more than 30 years old, my parents got it for me when I was kid. I had hardly used it nor do I have any plans to use it in future also, all the bearings of its tires got rusted and are not usable. In last 30 years the whole design and materials by which skateboards are made have been changed. In these 30 years we had changed 2 homes but still . . . Jane Kab Jarurat Pad Jaye. . .

Kathak is found in three distinct forms, called "Gharanas", named after the cities where the Kathak dance tradition evolved – Jaipur, Banaras and Lucknow. While the Jaipur Gharana focuses more on the foot movements, the Banaras and Lucknow Gharanas focus more on facial expressions and graceful hand movements.

Jealous.

Jealous.
I kind of miss those days when I use to ride two wheeler. I always use to reach home drenched in rainy season and when mom use to scold me I use to say mom what can I do it started raining and there was no shelter on the way. . . :) Anyhow there was a little girl on this bike in between her parents who was enjoying like anything and I was getting jealous of her.

The size of Family.

The size of Family.
I met this guy recently at one of the Sanganer Print Factory, when I was there on a shoot for a garment brand. I had spent some good amount of time there so got a chance to interact with him and other workers. You will be amazed to find out that many of them earn more money than many M.B.A. graduates nowadays but still live in very bad conditions. When I dug more about the reason behind their poor living conditions after such a good earning, one of the reasons I found is that they are the only earning member of their family and they send most of the money to their family in villages. You must be thinking most of the city graduates also support their families but still live in better conditions? Answer is simple “The size of Family”, When a city graduate talks about family it generally means nuclear family setup but When these worker talk about family it means Grand Parents, Parents, 3 or 4 Siblings, Wife and few Children.

A country where children are considered as a gift of god and talking about condom is taboo in itself needs hell lot of effort to educate people about family planning. Otherwise no amount of money can bring good living conditions to them.

Thirsty Monkey and Modern Science.

Thirsty Gray langur and Modern Science.
Gray langur are common in India and so is the thirst for Water. It’s not just about the India but most of the countries in World are going through the crisis of clean water. Water is the basic necessity and after so much modernization, industrialization and so on . . . World is still going through the crisis of clean water?

Just think about it are the Scientists from around the globe are so dumb that they can come up with innovations we can’t even imagine but they can’t come up with a solution for our basic necessity clean water? Even these Langurs in India have evolved and urbanized so much that they know how to open a tap to drink water and then when they are done they close the tap. But Scientists are still in the search for the solution of clean water or is someone stopping them from providing us the solution?
