Thali Raas of Gujarat at Lokrang Jaipur
Thali Raas is a traditional folk dance of Gujarat, India. It is a very popular dance form, and it is performed at various festivals and celebrations throughout the year. Thali Raas is known for its intricate steps, graceful movements, and energetic rhythms.

Thali Raas is a mixed dance form, performed by both men and women. The dancers typically hold brass plates (thalis) in their hands. The thalis are decorated with bells and other ornaments, and they produce a tinkling sound as the dancers move.

Thali Raas is typically performed to the accompaniment of traditional Gujarati folk music. The music is played on a variety of instruments, including the dhol (drum), the jhaal (cymbals), and the shehnai (oboe).

Thali Raas is believed to have originated with the Rabari tribe of Gujarat. The Rabari people are a nomadic tribe, and they used to perform the dance to celebrate their travels and to pray for good rains. Over time, the dance became popular with other communities in Gujarat and is now one of the most popular folk dances in the state.
